The Studio

 

It's so important to me that you feel comfortable in my studio. This peaceful, serene space is located just off the main street. You will arrive surrounded by mature sycamore trees that will make you feel as though you've stepped into the countryside, with plenty of private parking outside.

Being a mum myself, I remember the haze and brain fog that comes with the first few weeks of having a new baby. The studio is warm, with a calming atmosphere that's perfect for newborn photoshoots. The studio space is infant-friendly, with a changing station all set up if it's needed and doors that are easy to navigate (and wheelchair friendly) with your pram or buggy. Plus, there's plenty of room for feeding and privacy if needed.

Our studio in Blantyre, Lanarkshire is also the perfect environment for some family photography as the mature trees make a wonderful backdrop for some outside portraits.  This creates some natural-style portraits, and then we can go into the studio for a completely different style of images.

A little Bit About Me

When I first started photography, I developed my black and white negatives in my homemade darkroom. I had my room all set up to print out my images up to A3 in size.  It's an art that has all but gone these days.  

I was at the start of the digital revolution, watching all these new camera's coming onto the market, where you could instantly see what you were creating. It was amazing!

I am a photography nerd. I love taking photographs and talking about photography. My husband says it's an obsession; I say it's a passion.
When I'm not in the studio or editing, you'll probably find me playing with my little girl, walking my sheltie, and spending the night watching movies with my hubby and daughter.

I am a complete coffee addict and will offer you cups of tea and coffee continuously!
